For the past 17 years, I’ve pursued that mission independently, supported by ad revenue and, most importantly, by readers like you on Patreon.

Patreon allows me to remain fully independent. With this support, I can invest in research materials, website upgrades, and dedicate more time to my writing. Over time, I hope to grow DFR further—posting more reviews, crafting more essays, and even bringing on additional writers.

Membership Levels
You can join at one of four membership tiers:

• Star ($2/month): Access to weekly blogs, streaming recommendations, and Patreon-exclusive reviews and essays.

• Screenwriter ($6/month): After three months, you can choose a movie for me to review as a Reader’s Choice selection. You’ll also receive a DFR mug (US only).

• Director ($12/month): You can choose a movie for me to review every 12 months, plus the other perks.

• Mogul ($20/month): Select a new entry for The Definitives each year, plus the other perks.
