KARE 11 – Oscar Snubs
By Brian Eggert | February 1, 2025
Dear readers (and viewers),
On Saturday, February 1, I appeared on Minnesota’s NBC affiliate, KARE 11, to discuss the best new film of 2025 and two overlooked titles from 2024.
Reporter Chris Hrapsky and I discussed Steven Soderbergh’s new film, Presence, which I maintain is the year’s first great film. I also lamented that the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences didn’t nominate Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine as Light for Best International Feature, and that they didn’t nominate Sebastian Stan for his excellent performance in A Different Man, one of 2024’s very best that made my Top 10 Films of 2024 list.
Watch my appearance below and visit the Guest Appearances page for other TV and podcast appearances.
Happy viewing!
Brian
